SN Brussels Airlines offers ten new destinations this winter
Compared to the previous winter season, SN Brussels Airlines offers its passengers ten new destinations this winter. Thanks to the own flight operations and the code share-agreements with other airlines, SN Brussels Airlines' customers can now fly to 50 European airports, 14 cities in Africa and cross the Atlantic to Chicago and several US destinations beyond.

Eastern Europe
SN Brussels Airlines started the winter season this week with an inaugural flight to Budapest. The capital of the future EU member state Hungary will be connected daily with the capital of the European Union thanks to SN Brussels Airlines.
Another newcomer in the East European part of the network is Kiev. SN Brussels Airlines signed a code share agreement with Ukraine International allowing its passengers to travel three times a week between Brussels and Kiev this winter.
Also Zagreb is present in the winter offer for the first time thanks to a partnership with Croatia Airlines. "These new routes are clear examples of our strategy to focus more and more on the East European market", says Vice-President Communication Geert Sciot. "There is a clear demand for direct flights between East European countries and the European capital Brussels, and therefore more destinations will follow in the near future."

Southern Europe
Thanks to the code share agreements with TAP Air Portugal and Portugalia all SN Brussels Airlines' customers can travel to Lisbon and Oporto this winter season.
Also Athens, preparing itself for the Olympic Games of 2004, is present in the SN Brussels Airlines' winter schedule for the first time. The two daily flights to the Greek Capital are operated by Hellas Jet, which is well known for its in-flight service.
The flights to Tel Aviv, started last June and warmly welcomed by the passengers (load factor of more than 65 %), continue this winter.
Also the twice-weekly connection with Pescara, the heart of the Italian Abruzzo Region, will continue.

Mombasa
Starting 7 December, SN Brussels Airlines flies with its comfortable Airbus 330-300 weekly on Sunday to one of the most beautiful beach destinations in the world: Mombasa (Kenya). SN Brussels Airlines is the only European airline that offers scheduled flights to the beautiful tourist resorts of Mombasa. The flight schedule allows a combination of a beach holiday with a safari trip. Tour operator JetAir / TUI Belgium will fly its clients to Kenya with this new SN Brussels Airlines service.
Tour operators Thomas Cook, Club Med and Atex Travel have selected SN Brussels Airlines for their air holidays in Senegal. Including 'newcomer' Mombasa, SN Brussels Airlines offers now 14 destinations on the African continent.

Transatlantic
The partnership with American Airlines, started last spring, has proven to be successful and will continue this winter. With a ticket of SN Brussels Airlines passengers can travel daily to Chicago and 22 destinations beyond. Thanks to this service, passengers originating from the US can travel to Brussels and check-in for one the many European and African destinations.

In the air and in the train
SN Brussels Airlines is not only present in the air this winter, as from 14 December SN also offers an exclusive highspeed trainservice. In less than 2 hours, the Thalys train will connect Paris Nord with Brussels Airport. The schedule of the train allows connections with many African and European flights of SN Brussels Airlines.

Leisure
SN Brussels Airlines does not only focus on business travel, thanks to the Best Buy formula and the weekend offers leisure passengers can buy value for money tickets to several destinations. Reservations on flySN.com, 070 35 11 11 or via travel agent.
Why not enjoy the wintersun and taste some culture in Seville? Or why not plan a romantic weekend in Venice or a shopping trip to Milan? Or isn't the Gugenheim Museum in Bilbao, the beautiful city centre of Prague worth a visit? For those who want to go on skiholidays this winter we strongly recommend our daily flights to Geneva and Turino.

Service and punctuality
Passengers of SN Brussels Airlines enjoy free newspapers, drinks and meals on all SN operated flights. On all flights a business and economy class is offered and all passengers can earn and burn airmiles thanks to the unique frequent flyer program 'Privilege'.
SN was recently awarded 4 stars by the well-known In-flight Survey Company 'Skytrax'. With this ranking result SN Brussels Airlines gets a 'seal of approval' from Skytrax.
SN passengers can also count on a punctual service. During the last months SN Brussels Airlines was, according to the official AEA statistics (www.aea.be), one of the most punctual European airlines. SN Brussels Airlines only flies to premium airports and there are no hidden costs behind the published fares and offers.

LOT Polish Airlines Enhances Star Alliance’s
Global Leadership Position

The global airline network Star Alliance welcomed now LOT Polish Airlines as its 15th member, further extending its worldwide network, particularly into Eastern Europe.

LOT Polish Airlines’ network covers 48 cities in Europe and beyond, in addition to 12 destinations in Poland. In 2002 the airline carried 3.4 million passengers, a five per cent increase on the previous year. It was also recently voted by the readers of the prestigious British magazine Business Traveller as Best Central and Eastern European Airline.

LOT Polish Airlines CEO Marek Grabarek said membership in the Star Alliance network would enhance the airline’s ability to build its market share in Eastern Europe and beyond by working closely with fellow Star Alliance carriers such as Lufthansa and Austrian, with which it already has extensive code sharing arrangements.

The Star Alliance network spans 680 airports in 127 countries. Its fleet of over 2000 aircraft makes almost 11,000 daily departures. This year Star Alliance airlines were expected to carry well over 300 million passengers.
Star Alliance was established in 1997 as the first truly global airline alliance to offer customers global reach and a smooth travel experience. The members are Air Canada, Air New Zealand, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian, bmi, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Mexicana Airlines, Scandinavian Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Spanair, Thai Airways International, United, and VARIG Brazilian Airlines. US Airways is scheduled to join the alliance in 2004.
