SN Brussels Airlines lowers fares to European destinations by an average of 40 percent
SN Brussels Airlines is reducing its prices to 25 European destinations permanently from Friday 7 January. The cheapest fare that SN Brussels Airlines has offered up to now will be 40 percent less expensive on an ongoing basis from Friday. The price decreases are the result of greater competition and efforts made by SN to lower costs.

SN Brussels Airlines welcomed some 9 percent more passengers last year and is also counting on growth in its customer base this year. Tickets to 25 European destinations can be offered less expensively from Friday 7 January thanks to a whole series of efforts that SN has made in recent months to lower its operating costs. The new lowest fares are not an SN promotional stunt: they are a permanent reduction in rates. On average the lowest price that SN has offered up to now, the popular Best Buy ticket, will be 40 percent cheaper.

Examples
Whereas a single flight to Bilbao previously cost at least EUR 130 the price from now on will be EUR 89 including all taxes and extra charges.

A single flight to Venice is now possible from EUR 79 (including all taxes) instead of EUR 124. Florence is reachable from EUR 89 instead of EUR 133 thanks to the lower fares. The same reduction in price applies to Berlin Tempelhof and Toulouse.

The previous cheapest ticket for a flight to Lyon (including taxes) was EUR 114 and this will be EUR 69 from Friday.

A Best Buy one-way ticket now costs EUR 99, which is 50 percent lower than the previous fare.

It will also be possible to fly one-way to Copenhagen from EUR 69 from Friday 7 January. An ‘all in’ single flight to Bromma, the city airport for the Swedish capital Stockholm, is now available from EUR 99 instead of EUR 118. These are just a few examples of the total of 25 price reductions.

Anyone comparing these prices with other airlines should take account of the fact that SN includes all extra charges (airport charge, reservation costs, fuel charge) in its fares and thus states ‘all in’ prices, something which is not always done by other airlines.

Some 5,000 customers will be able to enjoy the new reduced fares permanently each week. The condition is that the ticket must be bought at least 1 month prior to the date of departure. Customers can obtain an immediate handy overview of the availability of the new lowest Best Buy fares on the flySN.com website.

The high level of service continues
Despite the lower fares SN Brussels Airlines will continue to retain its level of service. In contrast to many other airlines, SN passengers on all flights by the carrier enjoy free meals, newspapers, drinks and a smile on board. Moreover SN only flies to airports that are close to the city so that the customer saves time and expensive travel.

In the first ten months of last year SN Brussels Airlines was classified among Europe’s top 3 most punctual airlines according to the officially monitored statistics of the Association of European Airlines.

“We are now offering greater value for money than ever with our new fares”, Executive Vice President Commercial Philip Saunders points out. “This is the best proof that also a full service airline can offer very attractive fares to price sensitive customers.”

NH Hoteles will install Checkout Express Machines at its Hotels
The Checkout Express means that guests can check out of their rooms in less than 2 minutes. They will be installed in the hotels of the Chain worldwide.

Starting in January, NH Hoteles is going to install Checkout Express machines on a phased basis. This will make for a distinctive, highly exclusive service in the hotel trade. This new service aims to help customers check out using a touch terminal that allows guests to check out of their rooms in 1 or 2 minutes with full guarantees for customers and their companies, as well as for NH Hoteles.

NH Hoteles has invested €500,000 in the 100 terminals that are going to be installed in hotels of the chain worldwide. Priority will be given to the hotels with the highest number of rooms and near airports and business centers. The aim is to cut the time guests need to check out of the hotels.

A study drawn up by NH Hoteles on customer behavior when leaving their hotels has shown that there are times of the day when a large number of customers are all checking out at the reception desk at the same time. This creates unnecessary delays and a lower level of customer service. As this is a simple operation involving, in most cases, payment using credit cards and providing a bill, NH Hoteles has developed a system for automating it, while at the same time guaranteeing that it remains confidential.

The first Checkout Express machine was installed at the NH Abascal in July as a pilot project. It was a great success among NH's customers.

The Checkout Express machines are very easy to use; guests put in their keys, the invoice comes up on the screen and if they are in agreement with the invoice they pay by credit card and collect their invoice. NH Hoteles takes into account any credit they may be on the NH World card and the possibility of paying all or part of the bill charged to the balance on that card. Guests who use the Checkout Express will be entitled to free use of the mini bar service on the last night of their stay.
