SN Brussels Airlines adds 9 new destinations to its winter
service
In comparison with last year SN Brussels Airlines is offering
7 new direct destinations this winter. Sofia, Malta, Oviedo,
Moscow, New York, Istanbul, Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius appear
for the first time in SN’s just published winter schedule.
SN Brussels Airlines crosses the symbolic milestone of
one hundred flight destinations this winter. From Sunday
31 October, SN customers can fly to no fewer than 103 destinations
served directly by SN Brussels Airlines or by SN partners.
SN’s European network now comprises 57 destinations
of which 41 are served by SN Brussels Airlines aircraft
and 16 by partner airlines. On the African continent, SN
is flying to 14 destinations this winter with its own Airbus
330 aircraft. This winter, 32 American destinations will
be flown with our partner American Airlines. The 2 daily
direct flights from Brussels to Chicago and Brussels to
New York JFK offer easy connections to thirty cities on
the American continent.
Scandinavia: Thanks to a new partnership with Malmoe
Aviation, SN customers can fly directly between the European
capital and Sweden no fewer than ten times a day. On working
days Stockholm is the destination five times per day (2
rotations performed by SN, 3 by Malmoe Aviation) and Gothenburg
five times per day (four flights by SN, 1 by Malmoe Aviation).
Customers can enjoy a full service (business and economy,
meals and drinks, newspapers) on the SN Brussels Airlines
and Malmoe Aviation aircraft.
From 5 December SN is also replacing Stockholm’s
‘Arlanda’ airport with ‘Bromma’
city airport. Bromma, which is close to the centre of Stockholm,
offers many advantages over Arlanda, which is a good 45
kilometres away from Stockholm. For example, check-in is
possible up to fifteen minutes before departure and a taxi
or bus trip to the centre is significantly cheaper. Thanks
to this new cooperation with Malmoe Aviation, SN Brussels
Airlines has the most extensive range of flights available
between Brussels and Sweden.
SN’s new partner Sun Air is connecting the important
business region of Billund (Jutland) in Denmark with Brussels
twice per day from this winter. The schedule makes day trips
possible.
Eastern Europe: Thanks to a new codeshare agreement
with Bulgaria Air, which makes all the flights, SN customers
can fly four times a week between the European capital and
Sofia from now on. Bulgaria is a candidate for EU accession
and this is leading to increased business travel between
Bulgaria and Brussels. Moreover, tourism in Bulgaria is
expanding (city-trips to Sofia, skiing holidays, beach holidays
on the Black Sea, etc). The flight schedule also allows
quick transfers for anyone who wishes to travel further
on SN’s European, African and American network.
Together with Finnair and Lithuanian Airlines SN is now
making travel to the new Baltic EU States possible. Easy
travel to Riga and Tallin is possible with the help of a
stopover in Helsinki and Lithuania’s capital can even
be reached directly due to a direct Brussels-Vilnius connection.
The flight frequency to Moscow Domodedovo, a destination
that has appeared in SN’s network since April and
which is attractive an ever increasing number of passengers,
is being increased to six per week. From this winter on
SN customers can also check in at Moscow railway station
for scheduled flights departing from Domodedovo.
Departure flexibility for anyone wanting to fly between
Brussels and Warsaw is also being increased significantly.
SN Brussels Airlines and LOT are renewing their cooperation
and from now on offer 4 flights per day between Poland and
Belgium.
Malta: The new European Member State Malta appears
for the first time in the SN Brussels Airlines network.
A partnership with Air Malta makes it possible to travel
to the group of islands in the Mediterranean Sea up to four
times a week from Brussels. Thanks to its many sights, the
mild winter climate and good hotel infrastructure Malta
is an interesting mini-trip destination.
Spain and Portugal: SN is offering four flights
a week to Oviedo in the Asturias region of Spain from this
winter season with the help of a partnership with Iberia.
Anyone looking for the Spanish winter sun will also to
manage this with SN thanks to scheduled flights to Seville
in the heart of Andalusia. This winter SN will fly to Seville
daily: four times directly with SN and three times via Madrid
with Iberia. Trips to the Spanish Basque Country will be
easier thanks to the increased frequency of SN flights to
Bilbao. SN flies to Bilbao twice a day almost every day.
SN’s own flights to Porto which the airline has operated
very successfully since spring will be continued this winter.
Turkey: Istanbul, a destination that SN has included
in its flight schedule since last summer season, is also
being flown directly three times per week this winter. The
schedule is very suitable for city or shopping trips but
also enables business people to spend a few working days
in Istanbul or Brussels.
US: Since May of this year American Airlines and
SN Brussels Airlines jointly provide daily scheduled flights
between Brussels and New York JFK. The flights were quick
to find approval. The inexpensive dollar is making flying
to the States more attractive than ever and as a result
a daily flight is also being offered this winter. A wide
range of other destinations in the US and the Caribbean
can be reached via a stopover in JFK thanks to partner American
Airlines.
Africa: In barely two and half years SN Brussels
Airlines has developed a solid position on the African continent.
In comparison with last winter, SN is now flying twice weekly
to Liberia (Monrovia) instead of once and an SN Airbus 330-300
is also landing in Abidjan four times a week instead of
three this winter. |
