NH Hoteles launches major offers for the Easter Holidays

NH Hoteles has designed some special offers for the coming Easter Holidays. The price of a night's stay is as much as 50% below current prices. The prices offered go from €49 in the different hotels in the chain.

The offer, valid from 2 to 12 April, includes more than 100 different destinations, in particular cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville and the vast majority of cities in Spain. Also cities elsewhere in Europe such as Berlin, Brussels or Rotterdam and the most tourist cities in Latin America such as Montevideo, Santiago de Chile or Sao Paolo, among others.

After the response to earlier offers and campaigns along the same lines, NH Hoteles has included virtually all the cities where it is present at prices which are much lower than normal prices.

The aim of this campaign is to get the best possible return from the hotels also in holiday periods. NH Hoteles is a chain with hotels in major cities and focuses on business, holiday and leisure customers. This is why over 70% of the chain's guests are business customers, which means that affects the occupancy rates during holiday periods.

The new Lufthansa Airbus A330-300: Top-level comfort for Lufthansa customers, less impact on the environment

Improved passenger comfort, a high level of environmental friendliness and enhanced performance: these are the characteristics of the new Airbus A330-300, which Lufthansa welcomed yesterday at its base in Frankfurt. Ten aircraft of this type have been ordered and are to be delivered by the end of 2005. The A330-300 will offer a three-class configuration and will primarily fly to destinations in Africa and on the East Coast of the United States. The newly delivered aircraft will start scheduled services on March 16 on the Frankfurt - Cairo - Khartoum and Frankfurt - Cairo - Addis Abeba routes.

The A330-300 can carry up to 221 passengers. Our First Class guests will enjoy the outstanding quality and exclusive service of Lufthansa's premium product, while passengers in Business Class can take advantage of the longest bed in its category, an entirely new seating concept and a varied entertainment and information program. Passengers in Economy Class will travel in new, ergonomic seats with extra leg room. "Innovation, quality and excellent service thus become a tangible experience for our passengers," said Wolfgang Mayrhuber, Chairman of the Executive Board of Deutsche Lufthansa AG.

In terms of economical performance, the latest addition to the fleet sets new standards. The A330-300 is part of the A340 family. It has almost identical dimensions, the same wings, and thus very similar flying characteristics. On long-haul routes with flying times of up to 8 hours and demand in the 220-seat bracket, the A330 is the perfect complement for the highly economical A340 fleet. The major systems are identical on the two types, so cockpit crews can fly both after a short training and familiarization period. Mayrhuber stressed: "This means more flexibility for us in planning deployment, which translates into significant cost advantages."

Continuous investment in state-of-the-art technology and a recently-built, environmentally-friendly fleet play a key role in Lufthansa's efforts to improve the Aviation Group's long-term environmental performance. On average, the new A330-300 is expected to consume a mere 4 liters of fuel to carry one passenger over a distance of 100 kilometers. Compared with its predecessor, the Airbus A310-300, this is an improvement of about 27 percent. Lufthansa plans to phase out its A310s during 2004.

Rising fuel prices are not the only parameter that today's airlines have to take into consideration, as many airports charge fees based on measured aircraft noise. For this reason the new Airbus A330-300 features optimum noise emission reduction equipment. Lufthansa chose the Trent 772-B engine, manufactured by Rolls-Royce, the quietest propulsion system for this type of aircraft currently available.

The latest engine technology and aerodynamic improvements in the wings' design mean that the A330-300 will offer significant reductions in fuel consumption and noise emissions alike. The aircraft's 85 dB(A) noise footprint measures 3.56 square kilometers, and thus remains within an airport's perimeter fence. It is also Lufthansa's first long-haul aircraft for more than 200 passengers to be this quiet. 85 dB(A) corresponds to the noise level of a truck passing by in city traffic at a distance of 5 meters. The new A330-300 will help Lufthansa continue its success story of decoupling transport performance from environmental burden.

NH Hoteles moves into Hungary for the first time with "NH Budapest"

NH Hoteles presents its first hotel in Hungary. The NH Budapest has 159 rooms on eight floors. This hotel, managed by Alexander Fischer, is perfectly equipped to provide its guests with the highest levels of comfort and quality.

The hotel is located in District XIII in Budapest, in a wonderful location just a few short steps from the Danube and Margit Island. The famous Vígszínház theatre is right opposite the hotel and just a few steps away is the Westend Shopping Center where guests can shop at more than 400 shops.

All the rooms in the hotel have air conditioning. Every room is also equipped with phones, television, Internet access, safe, mini bar and dryer.

The hotel also has a restaurant that seats 136 people, as well as a bar for a further 40 people. There are two rooms, specially designed for the handicapped, on the first floor.

The hotel has 5 fully equipped conference rooms, capable of holding 175 people, who may use several relaxation areas and a buffet service. The 150 square metres on the eighth floor are taken up by the fitness centre, with comfortable changing rooms, a gymnasium, a solarium and a sauna.

The guests have the use of a 4-storey underground car park with 300 parking spaces, easy to access from the hotel. As regards security, the main floor, as well as all the hotel entrances and exits, are monitored by a camera surveillance system.

One of NH Hoteles priorities is to offer its guests top-quality cuisine. The care it puts into decoration as well as using cutting-edge technology are the other two main qualities of the hotels in the chain.
