The latest addition to the SWISS long-haul fleet, HB-JHG, was named
“Glarus” after the canton’s capital on 23 June. With the seventh
Airbus A330-300 in service, all flights between Zurich and New York-JFK are
now operated with the most technically advanced aircraft in the SWISS fleet.
The seven A330-300s in the SWISS fleet operate between Zurich and Dubai/Muscat, Mumbai, Delhi, Douala/Yaoundé, Nairobi/ Dar es Salaam and New York and between Geneva and New York. The A330-300 fleet will ultimately consist of nine aircraft.
The second SWISS Airbus A340 in service between Zurich and San Francisco has now been equipped with the new Business Class, making the new product now available to passengers on all flights on this new route.
