Iberia has scheduled a number of new flights to Lima, Buenos Aires,
Bogota, Quito and Havana and will raise total seat supply on these routes by
some 20,000 per month.
The four new direct flights to Lima raise the total number of weekly return flights to 11. Buenos Aires services have been increased to a total of 17, or which amounts to three flight per day on most days, in a variety of time slots.
Under code sharing with LAN the number of Madrid-Quito return flights has been boosted by three per week. To increase seat supplies to Havana and Bogota, Iberia now plans to use larger aircraft, but in June it will add three weekly flights and in October another five to Columbia.
Iberia is the market leader in air travel between Europe and Latin America, with an average of 250 weekly direct return flights. Aside from the 17 Latin America cities it serves directly, Iberia reaches another 36 destinations via arrangements with other carriers.

TAM Airlines and LAN Argentina extended their codeshare agreement and
offer now additional advantages to passengers between Brazil and Argentina.
Passengers can now buy tickets of both airlines at only one of the two.
From now TAM Airlines can sell LAN Argentina’s tickets under its own flight number. This is possible for LAN flights from Buenos Aires to Bariloche, Comodoro Rivadavia, Cordoba, Mendoza, Rio Gallegos, Salta and Ushuaia. In return LAN Argentina can offer TAM’s domestic flights from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro to different Brazilian destinations. Furthermore the airlines agreed on a codeshare agreement about flights between São Paulo (Guarulhos) and Buenos Aires (Ezeiza).
The partnership allows travellers simplified flight bookings and enables convenient flight connections. In addition passengers of the two airlines need only one ticket for the whole route and have to check-in their luggage only one time.
