Holiday Inn® – The signs of change are everywhere more
NH Hoteles wins the European Hotel Design Award for Best Design of Standard Room more
Over the last two years, Holiday Inn has conducted the hotel
industry’s largest piece of consumer research. The insights from this study form
the foundation of a $1 billion investment for change – the biggest relaunch in
the history of the hospitality industry. Over 3,200 hotels in nearly 100
countries. More than 420,000 guest rooms. 12,000 hotel signs.
And that’s only just the start. In addition to relaunching our existing hotels, our global pipeline will add more than 1,100 hotels of the same standard and consistency by 2010.
The result will be a new Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express®: fresh, modern and forward-thinking. Our goal is to redefine our guests’ expectations for service and quality in the mid-market hotel segment.
With more than 3,296 hotels around the world, we’re everywhere your business may take you today and tomorrow. Every second of every day, three people check into a Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express hotel. That’s nearly 300,000 guest nights a day and 94,608,000 million guest nights every year.

The design of the new ‘green rooms’ at NH Hoteles has been given an
important sign of recognition, with this project chosen as the winner of one of
the European Hotel Design Awards in the category of Best Design of Standard
Rooms. The magazine “The Sleeper” organizes these awards every year as an
acknowledgement of the best architectural, restoration, renovation and interior
design solutions for hotels. A prestigious line-up of architects, journalists,
hotel chain managers and industry experts selects the winners.
NH Hoteles' new green room project has already been implemented in a large number of Italian, German and Dutch hotels. The main features aim at making the rooms more comfortable and highlighting a feeling of space. Sustainability and cleanliness are the other two obvious sensations that are expressed by this room model.
