FlyNet: with Lufthansa surfing on the Internet above the clouds

Foto: LufthansaAll Lufthansa passengers, irrespective of travel class, will be able to enjoy surfing on the Internet above the clouds on Lufthansa long-haul flights from the middle of 2010 onwards.

Thanks to FlyNet, passengers will be able to use not only Internet access via Wifi, but SMS messaging with the mobile phone and data transfer with smart phones such as PDA, iPhone or Blackberry as well.

A new iPhone application that will delight frequent flyers is available: with this app, Lufthansa offers access to numerous practical services covering every aspect of flying, effectively transforming you directly into the cockpit through the display.

Navigating this app, which has the look and feel of a flight instrument, will take you to information on the Lufthansa timetable or the status of incoming and departing flights or enable you to save frequently used links. In this way you will always have "your" Lufthansa flights to hand. Using the Webview function, you have direct access from the Lufthansa app to flight booking, check-in, your booking overview and your Miles & More account balance.

Lufthansa Business Lounge in Munich will delight with indoor Biergarten
Following comprehensive renovation, the newly designed Business Lounge at Gate G28 at Munich Airport reopened on 23 March 2010. Over an area of 1,100 sq. meters, you are able to enjoy the flair of the Bavarian state capital one more time before your departure. A modern indoor Biergarten, with cosy furniture and fittings and an impressive mountain panorama you are invited to take a small break. In the completely newly redesigned bistro section, lounge you can enjoy tasty snacks and a highly varied beverages offer. A separate TV corner provides entertainment. Showers, a working and a comfort area complement the furnishings.

Lounge companions for Frequent Travellers and Senators in Germany and the USA
From now until, initially the end of August 2010 Frequent Travellers and Senators can share the benefits of Lufthansa lounges in Germany (including the Welcome Lounge in Frankfurt) and the USA with an unlimited number of companions. You may purchase your voucher conveniently at the Lufthansa ticket counter at the airport.

Price example: one-off admission for someone accompanying a Frequent Traveller:

   - Welcome Lounge €50 or US$70
